Small plant, big benefit
Duckweed absorbs nutrients directly from the water and grows rapidly when conditions suit it. The hanging roots add texture at the surface, while shrimp graze on the fine biofilm that develops around them.
For best results, float it gently on calm water under moderate light. Remove a handful whenever coverage becomes too dense so the plants below still receive light and oxygen exchange remains healthy.
